PRINCESS MARGARET HOME LOTTERY RULES & REGULATIONS

ELIGIBILITY

The following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household are prohibited from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation; members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team; Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Executive Team; employees of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership, the NHL, NHL Enterprises Canada LP, the NBA, NBA Properties Inc., NBA Media Ventures LLC;  partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates; and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). The Home Lottery is intended for Ontario residents. Tickets must be ordered and delivered within the province of Ontario.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow us, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and its licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery license and/or that we consider appropriate for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without notice, review or approval or additional compensation to you.

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

TICKETS

20,008 prizes will be awarded, valued at $19,615,801.38 (including all taxes and freight). Only 650,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $100 each or a 3-Pack* for $250 or a 5-Pack* for $375 or a 10-Pack* for $700. Tickets numbers will be issued in sequential order and will begin at 10000001.

*Guidelines for purchasing a 3-Pack or 5-Pack or a 10-Pack are as follows:

• Only ONE method of payment.
• Only ONE mailing address.
• Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing all ticket numbers.
• Up to THREE names may be recorded on a ticket.                                                              

*All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket/s in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s). No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws.  Ticket purchases are not tax deductible. 

Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. For all ticket orders where a valid email address is provided, the official ticket receipt will be provided by email within 3-5 business days. Where no email address is provided, official ticket receipts will be mailed. Ticket purchasers may request a physical copy of their ticket(s) at the time of purchase or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-542-8813. Physical ticket(s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order within 7-10 business days.

DRAW ORDER

The first draws will be for the Loyalty Prizes.  Only tickets ordered by Midnight, September 15, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws.  The draws (5 prizes) will take place on September 26, 2023, at approx. 8:00am. The next draw will be for the VIP Prize.  Only tickets ordered by Midnight, October 6, will qualify for the VIP Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on October 18, 2023, at approx. 8:00am.  

If all tickets are sold by the Bonus Prize Deadline: 

*In the event all tickets are sold by the Bonus Prize Deadline of Midnight, October 27, then draws for all remaining prizes, will be made on November 7, 2023, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Bonus Prize followed by Early Bird Prize, then all remaining prize draws starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $8.3 Million Grand Prize.

The top valued prize winners, Bonus Prize winner and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced on CP24 on November 9, 2023, between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in Oakville. 

In the event tickets remain after the Bonus Prize Deadline, then only the Bonus Prize draw will take place on November 7, 2023, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP, with Bonus Prize winner being posted on PrincessMargaretLotto.com on November 16, 2023.

If all tickets are sold out by the Early Bird Prize Deadline:

**In the event all tickets are sold by the Early Bird Prize Deadline of Midnight, November 17, then draws for all remaining prizes, will be made on November 28, 2023 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Early Bird Prize, followed by draws for all remaining prizes starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $8.3 Million Grand Prize.

The top valued prize winners and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced on CP24 on November 30, 2023, between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in Oakville.

If all tickets are not sold prior to the Early Bird Deadline: 

***In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird Prize Deadline, then only the Early Bird Prize draw will take place on November 28, 2023, at approx. 8:00 am at the offices of MNP LLP and the winner will be announced on CP24 Breakfast on November 30, 2023, between 5:30 am and 9:00 am. Marketing will continue until the Final Sales Deadline of Midnight, December 1.

The remaining prize draws will then be made on December 12, 2023 at approx. 8:00am at the office of MNP LLP starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $8.3 Million Grand Prize. The top valued prize winners will be announced on CP24 on December 14, 2023 between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in Oakville.  

Tickets ordered before the Loyalty Prize deadline will be eligible for all 20,008 draws. Tickets ordered after the Loyalty Prize deadline but before the VIP Prize deadline will be eligible for 20,003 draws. Tickets ordered after the VIP Prize deadline but before the Bonus Prize deadline will be eligible for 20,002 draws. Tickets ordered after the Bonus Prize deadline but before the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible 20,001 draws. Tickets ordered after the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible for the remaining 20,000 draws.

DRAW CONTROL

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by MNP LLP. 

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of MNP LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO).  

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP LLP.  Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

All draws will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 1900-1 Adelaide St E, Toronto, ON M5C 2V9. 

The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final.

PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prizes. A searchable list of winners will be posted online at PrincessMargaretLotto.com. If all draws are completed on November 7, 2023, winners will be posted on Thursday, November 16, 2023. If all draws are completed on November 28, 2023, winners will be posted on Thursday, December 7, 2023. If all draws are completed on December 12, 2023, winners will be posted on Thursday, December 21, 2023. A printed list of winners will be available upon request. PRIZE CLAIM

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket.  Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated. 

†† Prize values stated are retail value as of date contracts were negotiated with suppliers and are independently verified by prize suppliers, as per AGCO rules.

Custom grand prize homes may include many custom upgrades, unique features and the full retail replacement value of all of these features including appliances and finishes, flooring, landscaping etc. Real estate retail prize values are calculated based on contracted purchase price and includes land purchase price, Value of home construction, materials, labor, permits, all taxes applicable including full HST, cost of site preparation, landscaping, carrying costs, furnishings, decorating. 

Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded. 

Winners of real estate prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the home being transferred. If a real estate prize is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or otherwise  exempted from Ontario’s Non-Resident Speculation Tax (NRST), the winner will be responsible for payment of the NRST.

In the event a real estate prize winner is a Non-Canadian within the meaning of the Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act (PPRPNCA) and the real estate prize is within a region where a transfer of an interest in property is prohibited per the PPRPNCA, the licensee will be legally prohibited from awarding the real estate prize to the winner. VIP Prize comprises: one (1) prize – (1) pair of 2023/2024 Toronto Maple Leafs regular season seats located in the “Red” arena seating area; one (1) pair of 2023/2024 Toronto Raptors regular season seats located in the “Side Prime” arena seating area (estimated retail value of both sets of tickets is  $51,656.00); one (1) pair of 2024 Toronto FC regular season seats located in the “North East Field Side” seating area (including BMO Club fees which provides club access and all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages within the club area (estimated retail value is $11,300)); Plus $50,000 Cash. Total VIP Prize Value: $112,956.00.

$1.2 Million Bonus Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Downtown Toronto Penthouse, fully furnished (value $1,246,990); Plus $50,000 Cash. Total Bonus Prize Value: $1,296,990.00. 

$2.6 Million Early Bird Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Muskoka Lakefront Cottage, fully furnished (value $2,517,557.87); Plus $100,000 Cash. Total Early Bird Prize Value: $2,617,557.87.

$2.2 Million Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Georgian Bay Showhome, fully furnished (value $2,128,900); Plus $100,000 Cash. Total Georgian Bay Showhome Grand Prize Value: $2,228,900.

$2.3 Million Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Niagara-on-the-Lake Showhome, fully furnished (value $2,284,625.12); Plus $100,000 Cash. Total Niagara-on-the-Lake Grand Prize Value: $2,384,625.12

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticketholder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

There will be no restriction on the number of 50/50 Add-On tickets offered for sale. 

50/50 Add-On tickets are 5-pack for $25,15-pack for $50, 25-pack for $75 and 50-pack for $100. All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

All 50/50 Add-On tickets must correspond to the primary ticketholder’s name in the Princess Margaret Lottery database. 50/50 Add-On ticket(s) will not be assigned to an alternate name(s).

50/50 Add-On ticket numbers ordered will be issued in sequential order and will be listed on your Fall 2023 Princess Margaret Home Lottery Official Ticket receipt and will begin at 50000001.

If a ticket order for the Fall 2023 Princess Margaret Home Lottery is cancelled, any and all 50/50 Add-On tickets ordered with that ticket will also be cancelled.

Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. PRIZE

The 50/50 Add-On comprises of one (1) prize. The winner will be awarded half the 50/50 Add-On Jackpot. A guaranteed $2,000,000 minimum prize payout will be paid to the 50/50 Add-On winner.

The 50/50 Add-On prize winner will be announced on November 9, 2023, on CP24 between 7:00am and 6:00pm.

If all tickets for the Fall 2023 Princess Margaret Home Lottery are sold by the Early Bird Deadline (Midnight Friday, November 17, 2023) **

**In the event all Fall 2023 Princess Margaret Home Lottery tickets are sold by the Early Bird deadline of Midnight, November 17, then the draw for the 50/50 Add-On prize will be made as the first preliminary draw on November 28, 2023, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The 50/50 Add-On prize winner will be announced on the Early Bird Announcement date on November 30, 2023, on CP24 between 7:00am and 6:00pm.

If all tickets for the Fall 2023 Princess Margaret Home Lottery are not sold prior to the Early Bird Deadline (Midnight Friday, November 17, 2023) ***

***If Fall 2023 Princess Margaret Home Lottery tickets remain after the Early Bird Deadline, 50/50 Add-On tickets will still be available until either all Home Lottery tickets are sold or until the Final Ticket Sales deadline of Midnight, December 1.

In this scenario, the draw for the 50/50 Add-On prize will be made as the first preliminary draw on December 12, 2023, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP. The 50/50 Add-On prize winner will be announced on the Final announcement date December 14, 2023, on CP24 between 7:00am and 6:00pm.

The 50/50 Add-On draw will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP. 

The draw will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 1900-1 Adelaide St E, Toronto, ON M5C 2V9.

The draw information will be well advertised on the official Princess Margaret Home Lottery ticket. This schedule leaves adequate time to process all applications and payment and assure the database of ticket holders is correct.

The total number of 50/50 Add-On tickets to be printed will be unlimited.

DRAW CONTROL

The winning ticket for the 50/50 Add-On will be drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). The software will generate one (1) winning number.  The Winning ticket will be drawn under the supervision of MNP LLP. 

The Prize draw follows a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of MNP LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO). 

A draw will only be deemed valid and complete upon final confirmation and recording by MNP LLP. 

The draw will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 1900 – 1 Adelaide St E, Toronto, ON M5C 2V9.

The winner of the 50/50 Add-On prize will be published on the Lottery website at PrincessMargaretLotto.com on Thursday November 16, 2023 (if draw is completed on November 7, 2023), Thursday, December 7, 2023 (if draw is completed on November 28, 2023) or Thursday, December 21, 2023 (if draw is completed on December 12, 2023), alongside prize winners in the Fall 2023 Princess Margaret Home Lottery. 

The prize winner will be notified in writing by MNP LLP regarding prize claim.  The prize will be awarded to the individual(s) name on the official ticket.  Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder.  It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary.

PRINCESS MARGARET CASH CALENDAR LOTTERY RULES

ELIGIBILITY     

The following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household are prohibited from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation; members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team; Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Executive Team; partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates; and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and delivered in the province of Ontario. 

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow us, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and its licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery licence and/ or that we consider appropriate for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without notice, review or approval or additional compensation to you.

TICKETS 

Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order and will begin at 80000001.  A maximum of 460,000 Calendar ticket numbers will be sold.  Prices are: one (1) for $25, 3-pack* Calendar numbers for $50, or a 6-pack* Calendar numbers for $75. For each order placed, one Calendar ticket receipt will be issued. The Calendar ticket receipt will list one, three or six Calendar ticket numbers.

*Guidelines for purchasing are as follows:

  • Only ONE method of payment.
  • Only ONE mailing address.
  • Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing ticket numbers printed on one official Calendar ticket receipt.
  • Up to THREE names may be recorded on a ticket.        
  • All tickets must contain the same information.                                             

The official ticket/Calendar is a receipt of purchase.  It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket/s, however, purchasers do not need their ticket/s in hand in order to be included in the respective draw/s. No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible. Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. For all ticket orders where a valid email address is provided, the official ticket receipt will be provided by email within 3-5 business days. Where no email address is provided, official ticket receipts will be mailed. Ticket purchasers may request a physical copy of their ticket(s) at the time of purchase or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-542-8813. Physical ticket(s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order within 7-10 business days.

All inquiries, if any, regarding the “Chances of Winning” are to be made to the licensee prior to the purchase of ticket(s).

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

PRIZES

There is a total of 416 cash prizes (“prizes”) to be awarded: Three hundred (300) Daily Cash Prizes of $1,000, One hundred (100) Daily Cash Prizes of $10,000, Fifteen (15) Friday Cash Prizes of $50,000 and One (1) Grand Prize of $250,000.

TICKET DEADLINE & DRAW DATES

*If Cash Calendar is sold out by the Home Lottery Bonus Prize Deadline (October 27) then all draws will take place on November 7, 2023 at 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP.

**If Cash Calendar is sold out by the Home Lottery Early Bird Prize Deadline (November 17) then all draws will take place on November 28, 2023 at 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP.

***If the Cash Calendar is sold out by the Final Ticket Sales Deadline (December 1) then all draws will take place on December 12, 2023 at 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP.

Winners will be posted daily from December 14, 2023 to March 22, 2024.

DRAW ORDER

*In the event all tickets are sold by Midnight, October 27, then draws for the 416 Cash Calendar prizes will take place on November 7, 2023 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. MNP LLP will randomly select one (1) winner from among all eligible ticket numbers for each of the four hundred sixteen (416) Cash Prizes to be awarded from December 14, 2023 to March 22, 2024. 

**In the event all tickets are sold by Midnight, November 17, then draws for the 416 Cash Calendar prizes will take place on November 28, 2023 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. MNP LLP will randomly select one (1) winner from among all eligible ticket numbers for each of the four hundred sixteen (416) Cash Prizes to be awarded from December 14, 2023 to March 22, 2024.

***In the event tickets remain after Midnight, November 17, then marketing will continue to the Final Sales Deadline of Midnight, December 1. Prize draws for the 416 Cash Calendar prizes will take place on December 12, 2023 at approx. 8:00am at the office of MNP LLP. MNP LLP will randomly select one (1) winner from among all eligible ticket numbers for each of the four hundred sixteen (416) Cash Prizes to be awarded from December 14, 2023 to March 22, 2024.

DRAW CONTROL

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by MNP LLP. The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final.

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP LLP. Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws. 

All Cash Calendar Lottery draws will take place at approximately 8:00am at the offices of MNP – 1900-1 Adelaide St E, Toronto, ON M5C 2V9.

PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION

All prize winners will be notified in writing within two (2) weeks of the day for which their winning ticket was selected. Winning results for the Daily Cash Prizes ($1,000 and $10,000), Friday Cash Prizes of $50,000 and One (1) Grand Prize of $250,000 will be posted on the website at PrincessMargaretLotto.com every day from December 14, 2023 to March 22, 2024.

PRIZE CLAIM

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official Calendar ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary. 

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prize winnings are not taxable.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months following the close of the lottery on March 22, 2024. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.
