Princess Margaret Cottage Lottery Rules & Regulations

ELIGIBILITY

The following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household are prohibited from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation; members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team; Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Executive Team; partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and delivered within the province of Ontario.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow us, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and its licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery license and/or that we consider appropriate for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without notice, review or approval or additional compensation to you. 

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

TICKETS

Only 230,000 tickets will be sold. 5,005 prizes will be awarded, valued at $ 6,065,882.99 (including all taxes and freight). Tickets are $100 each or a 3-Pack* for $250 or a 5-Pack* for $375 or a 10-Pack* for $700. Tickets numbers will be issued in sequential order. *Guidelines for purchasing a 3-Pack or 5-Pack or a 10-Pack are as follows:

• Only ONE method of payment.
• Only ONE mailing address.
• Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing all ticket numbers.
• Up to THREE names may be recorded on a ticket.                                                             

*All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase.  It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket/s in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s).  No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws.  Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. For all ticket orders where a valid email address is provided, the official ticket receipt will be provided by email within 3-5 business days. Where no email address is provided, official ticket receipts will be mailed. Ticket purchasers may request a physical copy of their ticket(s) at the time of purchase or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-542-8813. Physical ticket(s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order within 7-10 business days.

DRAW ORDER

The first draws will be for the Loyalty Prizes. Only tickets ordered by Midnight, June 4, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws. The draws (3 prizes) will take place on June 15, 2021 at approx. 8:00am.

*In the event all tickets are sold by the Loyalty Prize Deadline of Midnight, June 4, then draws for all prizes, will be made on June 15, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Loyalty Prizes followed by Early Bird Prize, then all remaining prize draws starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $1.6 Million Georgian Bay Grand Prize.

* The top valued prize winners, Loyalty Prize winners and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced on CP24 on June 16, 2021 between 7:00am and 6:00pm at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5.

* In the event tickets remain after the Loyalty Prize Deadline, then only the Loyalty Prize draws will take place on June 15, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP, with the winners being posted on PrincessMargaretLotto.com on June 16, 2021.

**In the event all tickets are sold by the Early Bird Prize Deadline of Midnight, June 25, then draws for all remaining prizes, will be made on July 6, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Early Bird Prize, followed by draws for all remaining prizes starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $1.6 Million Georgian Bay Grand Prize.

** The top valued prize winners and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced on CP24 on July 7, 2021 between 7:00am and 6:00pm at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5.

**In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird Prize Deadline, then only the Early Bird Prize draw will take place on July 6, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP and the winner will be announced live on CP24 Breakfast on July 7, 2021 between 5:30am and 9:00am at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5. Marketing will continue to the Final Sales Deadline of Midnight, July 9.

*** The remaining prize draws will then be made on July 19, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the office of MNP LLP starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $1.6 Million Georgian Bay Grand Prize.  The top valued prize winners will be announced on CP24 on July 20, 2021 between 7:00am and 6:00pm at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5.

Tickets ordered before the Loyalty Prize deadline will be eligible for all 5,005 draws. Tickets ordered after the Loyalty Prize deadline but before the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible 5,002 draws. Tickets ordered after the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible for the remaining 5,001 draws.

DRAW CONTROL

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by MNP LLP.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of MNP LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO). 

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP LLP.  Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

All draws will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond St W #300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4. The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final.

PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prizes. A list of winners will be posted online at PrincessMargaretLotto.com. If all draws are completed on June 15, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, June 24, 2021. If all draws are completed on July 6, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, July 15, 2021. If all draws are completed on July 19, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, July 29, 2021. A printed list of winners will be available upon request. PRIZE CLAIM

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket.  Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary.   Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

†† Prize values stated are retail value as of date contracts were negotiated with suppliers and are independently verified by prize suppliers, as per AGCO rules.

Custom grand prize cottages may include many custom upgrades, unique features and the full retail replacement value of all of these features including appliances and finishes, flooring, landscaping etc. Real estate retail prize values are calculated based on contracted purchase price and includes land purchase price, Value of cottage construction, materials, labor, permits, all taxes applicable including full HST, cost of site preparation, landscaping, carrying costs, furnishings, decorating.

Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

Winners of real estate prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the cottage being transferred.

Prize values include taxes and freight, where applicable. 

The Loyalty Prize comprises: three (3) prizes – 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands: Total Loyalty Prize Value: $54,946.67 OR a Cash alternative of $45,000.

The Early Bird Prize comprises: one (1) prize – 2021 Airstream Atlas (Murphy Suite): Total Early Bird Prize Value: $369,385.00 OR a Cash alternative of $300,000.

The $1.6 Million Georgian Bay Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Georgian Bay Waterfront Cottage, fully furnished and professionally decorated (value $1,600,000); 1 (one) Malibu Paddle Board with Paddle (value $3,785.50); $50,000 Cash. Total Grand Prize Value: $1,653,785.50.

The $1.5 Million Muskoka Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Muskoka Lakefront Cottage, fully furnished and professionally decorated (value $1,500,000); 1 (one) Malibu Paddle Board with Paddle (value $3,785.50); $50,000 Cash. Total Grand Prize Value: $1,553,785.50.

The $1.4 Million Kawarthas Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Kawarthas Lakefront Cottage, fully furnished and professionally decorated (value $1,420,000); 1 (one) Malibu Paddle Board with Paddle (value $3,785.50); $50,000 Cash. Total Grand Prize Value: $1,473,785.50.

**Winners of vehicle prizes must choose one of two vehicles offered per draw (where applicable) or take a cash alternative as follows:

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticket holder for the value of the trip as described in the Cottage Lottery brochure at time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed will be secured for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

Summer 2021 Princess Margaret Cottage Lottery offers an exciting 50/50 Add-On option for its supporters.

There will be no restriction on the number of 50/50 Add-On tickets offered for sale.

50/50 Add-On tickets are 5-pack for $25,15-pack for $50 and 25-pack for $75. All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

All 50/50 Add-On tickets must correspond to the primary ticketholder’s name in the Princess Margaret Lottery database. 50/50 Add-Onticket(s) will not be assigned to an alternate name(s).

50/50 Add-On ticket numbers ordered will be issued in sequential order and will be listed on your Summer 2021 Princess Margaret Cottage Lottery Official Ticket receipt and will begin at 50000001.

If a ticket order for the Summer 2021 Princess Margaret Cottage Lottery is cancelled, any and all 50/50 Add-On tickets ordered with that ticket will also be cancelled.

Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. PRIZE

The 50/50 Add-On comprises of one (1) prize. The winner will be awarded half the 50/50 Add-On Jackpot. A guaranteed $500,000 minimum prize payout will be paid to the 50/50 Add-On winner.

In this scenario, the draw for the 50/50 Add-On prize will be made as the first preliminary draw on July 19, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP. The 50/50 Add-On prize winner will be announced on the Final draw date July 20, 2021 on CP24.

The 50/50 Add-On draw will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP. 

The draw will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond St W #300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4.

The draw information will be well advertised on the official Summer 2021 Princess Margaret Cottage Lottery ticket.  This schedule leaves adequate time to process all applications and payment and assure the database of ticket holders is correct.

The total number of 50/50 Add-On tickets to be printed will be unlimited.

A draw will only be deemed valid and complete upon final confirmation and recording by MNP LLP.

The winner of the 50/50 Add-On prize will be published on the Lottery website at PrincessMargaretLotto.com on Thursday June 24, 2021 (if draw is completed on June 15, 2021), Thursday July 15, 2021 (if draw is completed on July 6, 2021) or Thursday July 29, 2021 (if draw is completed on July 19), alongside prize winners in the Summer 2021 Princess Margaret Cottage Lottery.

The prize winner will be notified in writing by MNP LLP regarding prize claim.  The prize will be awarded to the individual(s) name on the official ticket.  Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder.  It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary.

Prices are: one (1) for $25, 3-pack◆ for $50, or a 6- pack◆ for $75. For each order placed, one (1) 30 Days of Vacays ticket receipt will be issued. The 30 Days of Vacays ticket receipt will list one, three or six ticket numbers. *All tickets in a 3-Pack or 6- Pack must contain the same information.

DRAW CONTROL

Ticket fulfillment and draw control by MNP LLP. The records of MNP shall be deemed correct and final.

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP LLP. Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

All 30 Days of Vacays draws will take place at approximately 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond Street West, Suite 300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4.

PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION:

All prize winners will be notified in writing within two (2) weeks of the day for which their winning ticket is posted. Winning results for 30 Days of Vacays, will be posted on the website at PrincessMargaretLotto.com every day from August 2, 2021 to August 31, 2021

PRIZE CLAIM:

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official 30 Days of Vacays ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prize winnings are not taxable.

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticketholder for the value of the vacation and cash prize as described in the lottery brochure or on the lottery website. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described up to 14 months from the draw date. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.
