Princess Margaret Home Lottery Rules & Regulations

Eligibility

The following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household are prohibited from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Executive Team; partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and delivered within the province of Ontario.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow us, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and its licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery license and/or that we consider appropriate for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without notice, review or approval or additional compensation to you. 

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

Tickets

Tickets are $100 each or a 3-Pack* for $250 or a 5-Pack* for $375 or a 10-Pack* for $700. Tickets numbers will be issued in sequential order. *Guidelines for purchasing a 3-Pack or 5-Pack or a 10-Pack are as follows:

  • Only ONE method of payment.
  • Only ONE mailing address.
  • Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing all ticket numbers.
  • Up to THREE names may be recorded on a ticket. 

*All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase.  It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket/s in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s).  No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws.  Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. For all ticket orders where a valid email address is provided, the official ticket receipt will be provided by email within 3-5 business days. Where no email address is provided, official ticket receipts will be mailed. Ticket purchasers may request a physical copy of their ticket(s) at the time of purchase or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-542-8813. Physical ticket(s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order within 7-10 business days.

Draw Order

The first draw will be for the Loyalty Prize.  Only tickets ordered by Midnight, February 5, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws.  The draws (10 prizes) will take place on February 17, 2021 at approx. 8:00am. The next draw will be for the VIP Prizes.  Only tickets ordered by Midnight, February 26, will qualify for the VIP Prize Draws. The draws (3 prizes) will take place on March 10, 2021, at approx. 8:00am.  The next draw will be for the Bonus Prize. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, March 26, will qualify for the Bonus Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on April 7, 2021 at approx. 8:00am.

*In the event all tickets are sold by the Bonus Prize Deadline of Midnight, March 26, then draws for all remaining prizes, will be made on April 7, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Bonus Prize followed by Early Bird Prize, then all remaining prize draws starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $7 Million Grand Prize.

* The top valued prize winners and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced live on CP24 on April 8, 2021 between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in King City. The Bonus Prize winner will be posted on PrincessMargaretlotto.com.

*In the event tickets remain after the Bonus Prize Deadline, then only the Bonus Prize draw will take place on April 7, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP, with Bonus Prize winner being posted on PrincessMargaretLotto.com on April 8, 2021.

**In the event all tickets are sold by the Early Bird Prize Deadline of Midnight, April 23, then draws for all remaining prizes, will be made on May 4, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Early Bird Prize, followed by draws for all remaining prizes starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $7 Million Grand Prize.

** The top valued prize winners and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced live on CP24 on May 6, 2021 between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in King City.

**In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird Prize Deadline, then only the Early Bird Prize draw will take place on May 4, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP and the winner will be announced live on CP24 Breakfast on May 6, 2021 between 5:30am and 9:00am at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5. Marketing will continue to the Final Sales Deadline of Midnight, May 7.

*** The remaining prize draws will then be made on May 19, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the office of MNP LLP starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $7 Million Grand Prize. The top valued prize winners will be announced live on CP24 on May 20, 2021 between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in King City. 

Tickets ordered before the Loyalty Prize deadline will be eligible for all 21,043 draws. Tickets ordered after the Loyalty Prize deadline but before the VIP Prize deadline will be eligible for 21,033 draws. Tickets ordered after the VIP Prize deadline but before the Bonus Prize deadline will be eligible for 21,030 draws. Tickets ordered after the Bonus Prize deadline but before the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible 21,029 draws. Tickets ordered after the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible for the remaining 21,028 draws.

Draw Control

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by MNP LLP.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of MNP LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO). 

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP LLP.  Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

All draws will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond St W #300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4. The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final.

Prize Winner Notification

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prizes. A searchable list of winners will be posted online at PrincessMargaretLotto.com. If all draws are completed on April 7, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, April 15, 2021. If all draws are completed on May 4, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, May 13, 2021. If all draws are completed on May 19, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, May 27, 2021. A printed list of winners will be available upon request. Prize Claim

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

†† Prize values stated are retail value as of date contracts were negotiated with suppliers and are independently verified by prize suppliers, as per AGCO rules.

Custom grand prize homes may include many custom upgrades, unique features and the full retail replacement value of all of these features including appliances and finishes, flooring, landscaping etc. Real estate retail prize values are calculated based on contracted purchase price and includes land purchase price, Value of home construction, materials, labor, permits, all taxes applicable including full HST, cost of site preparation, landscaping, carrying costs, furnishings, decorating.

Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

Winners of real estate prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the home being transferred.

Prize values include taxes and freight, where applicable. 

Loyalty Prize comprises:  ten (10) Apple Packs: iMac 27”, iPad Pro, Watch 6, HomePod, AirPods and TV 4K Device. Total Loyalty Prize Value: $5,649.94.

VIP Prize comprises: three (3)2021 Jaguar I-Pace. Total VIP Prize Value: 131,466.17. OR a Cash alternative of $105,000.

Bonus Prize comprises: A Downtown Toronto Condo, fully furnished (value $988,000); $25,000 Cash. Total Bonus Prize Value: $1,013,000.

Early Bird Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Kawartha Lakefront cottage on Buckhorn Lake, fully furnished (value $1,700,000); $50,000 Cash. Total Early Bird Prize Value: $1,750,000

Prince Edward County Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Country Home in Prince Edward Country (PEC), fully furnished (value $1,300,000): $25,000 Cash. Total Prince Edward County Prize Value: $1,325,000.

Toronto Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Toronto Showhome, fully furnished (value $2,500,000): $100,000 Cash. Total Toronto Grand Prize Value: $2,600,000.

$7 Million Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize- Showhome, King City, fully furnished (value $ 5,300,000): Lakefront cottage on Echo Lake (value $1,200,000); Plus $500,000 Cash.  Total Grand Prize Value: $7,000,000.

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticketholder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification.  Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

Spring 2021 Princess Margaret Home Lottery offers an exciting 50/50 Add-On option for its supporters.

50/50 Add-On tickets are 5-pack for $25,15-pack for $50 and 25-pack for $75. All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

All 50/50 Add-On tickets must correspond to the primary ticketholder’s name in the Princess Margaret Home Lottery database.  50/50 Add-Onticket(s) will not be assigned to an alternate name(s).

50/50 Add-On ticket numbers ordered will be issued in sequential order and will be listed on your Home Lottery Official Ticket receipt and will begin at 5 000 001.

If a ticket order for the Home Lottery is cancelled, any and all 50/50 Add-On tickets ordered with that ticket will also be cancelled.

If all tickets for the Princess Margaret Home Lottery Spring 2021 are sold by the Early Bird Prize Deadline:

**In the event all Home Lottery tickets are sold by the Early Bird deadline of Midnight, April 23, then the draw for the 50/50 Add-On prize will be made as the first preliminary draw on May 4, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The 50/50 Add-On prize winner will be announced on the Early Bird Announcement date on May 6, 2021 live on CP24.

If all tickets for the Princess Margaret Home Lottery are not sold prior to the Early Bird Prize Deadline:

***If Home Lottery tickets remain after the Early Bird Deadline, 50/50 Add-On tickets

will still be available until either all Home Lottery tickets are sold or by the Final Ticket Sales deadline of Midnight, May 7, 2021.

In this scenario, the draw for the 50/50 Add-On prize will be made as the first preliminary draw on May 19, 2021 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP. The 50/50 Add-On prize winner will be announced on the Final draw date May 20, 2021 live on CP24.

The 50/50 Add-On draw will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP. 

The draw will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond St W #300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4.

The draw information will be well advertised on the official Home Lottery ticket.  This schedule leaves adequate time to process all applications and payment and assure the database of ticket holders is correct.

The total number of 50/50 Add-On tickets to be printed will be unlimited.

The winning ticket for the 50/50 Add-On will be drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). The software will generate one (1) winning number.  The Winning ticket will be drawn under the supervision of MNP LLP.

A draw will only be deemed valid and complete upon final confirmation and recording by MNP LLP.

The prize winner will be notified in writing by MNP LLP regarding prize claim.  The prize will be awarded to the individual(s) name on the official ticket. Prize Winner Notification

All prize winners will be notified in writing within two (2) weeks of the day for which their winning ticket was selected. Winning results for the Daily Cash Prizes ($1,000 and $10,000), and Friday Cash Prizes of $100,000 will be posted on the website at PrincessMargaretLotto.com every day from May 20, 2021 to August 27, 2021.

Prize Claim

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official Calendar ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prize winnings are not taxable.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months following the close of the lottery on August 27, 2021. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.
