PRINCESS MARGARET HOME LOTTERY RULES & REGULATIONS

ELIGIBILITY

The following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household are prohibited from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation; members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team; Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Executive Team; employees of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. the NHL, NHL Enterprises Canada LP, the NBA, NBA Properties Inc., NBA Media Ventures LLC;  partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates; and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and delivered within the province of Ontario.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow us, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and its licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery license and/or that we consider appropriate for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without notice, review or approval or additional compensation to you. 

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

TICKETS

40,833 prizes will be awarded, valued at $ 21,349,436.98 (including all taxes and freight). 1,000,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $100 each or a 3-Pack◆ for $250 or a 5-Pack◆ for $375 or a 10-Pack◆ for $700. Tickets numbers will be issued in sequential order. ‘

*Guidelines for purchasing a 3-Pack or 5-Pack or a 10-Pack are as follows:

  • Only ONE method of payment.
  • Only ONE mailing address.
  • Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing all ticket numbers.
  • Up to THREE names may be recorded on a ticket. 

◆All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase.  It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket/s in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s).  No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws.  Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. For all ticket orders where a valid email address is provided, the official ticket receipt will be provided by email within 3-5 business days. Where no email address is provided, official ticket receipts will be mailed. Ticket purchasers may request a physical copy of their ticket(s) at the time of purchase or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-542-8813. Physical ticket(s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order within 7-10 business days.

DRAW ORDER

The first draws will be for the Loyalty Prizes. Only tickets ordered by Midnight, August 27, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws. The draws (5 prizes) will take place on September 8, 2021, at approx. 8:00am. The next draw will be for the VIP Prize. Only tickets ordered by Midnight, September 17, will qualify for the VIP Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on September 29, 2021, at approx. 8:00am. The next draw will be for the Bonus Prize. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, October 8, will qualify for the Bonus Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on October 19, 2021, at approx. 8:00am.

If all tickets are sold by the Bonus Prize Deadline:
*In the event all tickets are sold by the Bonus Prize Deadline of Midnight, October 8, then draws for all remaining prizes, will be made on October 19, 2021, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Bonus Prize followed by Early Bird Prize, then all remaining prize draws starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $6.6 Million Grand Prize.

The top valued prize winners, Bonus Prize winner and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced on CP24 on October 21, 2021, between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in Oakville.

In the event tickets remain after the Bonus Prize Deadline, then only the Bonus Prize draw will take place on October 19, 2021, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP, with Bonus Prize winner being posted on PrincessMargaretLotto.com on October 21, 2021.

If all tickets are sold out by the Early Bird Prize Deadline:
**In the event all tickets are sold by the Early Bird Prize Deadline of Midnight, November 5, then draws for all remaining prizes, will be made on November 16, 2021, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP. The first draw would be for the Early Bird Prize, followed by draws for all remaining prizes starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $6.6 Million Grand Prize.

The top valued prize winners and the Early Bird Prize winner will be announced on CP24 on November 18, 2021, between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in Oakville.

If all tickets are not sold prior to the Early Bird Deadline:

***In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird Prize Deadline, then only the Early Bird Prize draw will take place on November 16, 2021, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP and the winner will be announced on CP24 Breakfast on November 18, 2021, between 5:30am and 9:00am at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5. Marketing will continue to the Final Sales Deadline of Midnight, November 19.

The remaining prize draws will then be made on November 30, 2021, at approx. 8:00am at the office of MNP LLP starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the $6.6 Million Grand Prize. The top valued prize winners will be announced on CP24 on December 2, 2021, between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in Oakville.

Tickets ordered before the Loyalty Prize deadline will be eligible for all 40,833 draws. Tickets ordered after the Loyalty Prize deadline but before the VIP Prize deadline will be eligible for 40,828 draws. Tickets ordered after the VIP Prize deadline but before the Bonus Prize deadline will be eligible for 40,827 draws. Tickets ordered after the Bonus Prize deadline but before the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible 40,826 draws. Tickets ordered after the Early Bird Prize deadline will be eligible for the remaining 40,825 draws.

DRAW CONTROL

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by MNP LLP.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of MNP LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO). 

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP LLP.  Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

All draws will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond St W #300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4. The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final.

PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prizes. A searchable list of winners will be posted online at PrincessMargaretLotto.com. If all draws are completed on October 19, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, October 28, 2021. If all draws are completed on November 16, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, November 25, 2021. If all draws are completed on November 30, 2021, winners will be posted on Thursday, December 9, 2021. A printed list of winners will be available upon request. PRIZE CLAIM

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket.  Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary.   Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

††Prize values stated are retail value as of date contracts were negotiated with suppliers and are independently verified by prize suppliers, as per AGCO rules.

Custom grand prize homes may include many custom upgrades, unique features and the full retail replacement value of all of these features including appliances and finishes, flooring, landscaping etc. Real estate retail prize values are calculated based on contracted purchase price and includes land purchase price, value of home construction, materials, labor, permits, all taxes applicable including full HST, cost of site preparation, landscaping, carrying costs, furnishings, decorating.

Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

Winners of real estate prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the home being transferred.

Prize values include taxes PDI and freight, where applicable. 

The Loyalty Prize comprises: five (5) prizes – 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Sport U. Total Loyalty Prize Value: $67,386.70 OR a Cash alternative of $50,000.

The VIP Prize comprises: one (1) prize – 2022 Airstream Atlas. Total VIP Prize Value: $382,781.67 OR a Cash alternative of $300,000.

The Bonus Prize comprises: one (1) prize – A Downtown Toronto Condo, fully furnished (value $942,900); $75,000 Cash. (1) pair of 2021/2022 Toronto Maple Leafs season ticket seats located in the “Red” arena seating area (estimated value $17,068.00); one (1) pair of 2021/2022 Toronto Raptors season ticket seats located in the “Side Prime” arena seating area (estimated value $25,162.00); one (1) pair of 2022 Toronto FC season ticket seats located in the “North East Field Side” seating area (including BMO Club fees which provides club access and all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages within the club area (estimated value $7,560.00)•. Total Bonus Prize Value: $1,067,690.00.

• Specific seat locations to be determined by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership. Ticket use subject to applicable venue code of conduct and the terms and conditions on reverse of each ticket. Tickets are available only for the specified season and are non-renewable. Prize recipient shall be responsible for any costs or expenses not specifically described above as being included in the VIP Prize including, but not limited to, transportation to and from the venue, other drinks/meals, gratuities, souvenirs, and all incidental and personal expenses.

• In the event the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors, and/or the Toronto FC season is cancelled or modified, the estimated cash value of any cancelled tickets will be paid to the prize winner by Princess Margaret Lotteries.

The $2.1 Million Early Bird Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Muskoka Lakefront Cottage, fully furnished (value $2,050,000); $100,000 Cash. Total Early Bird Prize Value: $2,150,000.00.

The $1.3 Million Niagara-On-The-Lake Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Showhome in Niagara-On-The-Lake, fully furnished (value $1,201,160): $100,000 Cash. Total Niagara-On-The-Lake Grand Prize Value: $1,301,160.00.

The $1.3 Million Blue Mountain Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Showhome in Blue Mountain, fully furnished (value $1,275,000): $100,000 Cash. Total Blue Mountain Grand Prize Value: $1,375,000.00.

The $3.1 Million Toronto Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Toronto Showhome, fully furnished (value $3,097,340): $100,000 Cash. Total Toronto Grand Prize Value: $3,197,340.00.

The $6.6 Million Grand Prize comprises: one (1) prize – Oakville Showhome, fully furnished (value $ 5,524,032.50): 2022 Jaguar I-PACE HSE EV400 (value $117,731.02); Plus $1,000,000 Cash. Total Grand Prize Value: $6,641,763.52.

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticketholder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification.  Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

50/50 Add-On ticket numbers ordered will be issued in sequential order and will be listed on your Fall 2021 Princess Margaret Home Lottery Official Ticket receipt and will begin at 50000001.

If a ticket order for the Fall 2021 Princess Margaret Home Lottery is cancelled, any and all 50/50 Add-On tickets ordered with that ticket will also be cancelled.

In this scenario, the draw for the 50/50 Add-On prize will be made as the first preliminary draw on November 30, 2021, at approx. 8:00am at the offices of MNP. The 50/50 Add-On prize winner will be announced on CP24 on the Final draw date December 2, 2021, between 7:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome in Oakville.

The 50/50 Add-On draw will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP. 

The draw will take place at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond St W #300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4.

The draw information will be well advertised on the official Fall 2021 Princess Margaret Home Lottery ticket. This schedule leaves adequate time to process all applications and payment and assure the database of ticket holders is correct.

The total number of 50/50 Add-On tickets to be printed will be unlimited.

The winning ticket for the 50/50 Add-On will be drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). The software will generate one (1) winning number.  The Winning ticket will be drawn under the supervision of MNP LLP.

A draw will only be deemed valid and complete upon final confirmation and recording by MNP LLP.

Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order and will begin at 80000001.  Prices are: one (1) for $25, 3-pack* Calendar numbers for $50, or a 6-pack* Calendar numbers for $75. For each order placed, one Calendar ticket receipt will be issued. The Calendar ticket receipt will list one, three or six Calendar ticket numbers.

For all ticket orders where a valid email address is provided, the official ticket receipt will be provided by email within 3-5 business days. Where no email address is provided, official ticket receipts will be mailed. Ticket purchasers may request a physical copy of their ticket(s) at the time of purchase or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-542-8813. Physical ticket(s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order within 7-10 business days.

All inquiries, if any, regarding the “Chances of Winning” are to be made to the licensee prior to the purchase of ticket(s).

PRIZES

There is a total of nine hundred and one (901) cash prizes (“prizes”): to be awarded with a total prize value of $3,650,000: Eight hundred (800) Daily Cash Prizes of $1,000, Eighty-five (85) Daily (excluding Friday’s) Cash Prizes of $10,000, Fifteen (15) Friday Cash Prizes of $100,000, and one (1) New Year’s Day Prize of $500,000.

***In the event tickets remain after Midnight, November 5, then marketing will continue until all tickets are sold to the Final Sales Deadline of Midnight, November 19. Prize draws for the nine hundred and one (901) Cash Prizes will then take place on November 30, 2021, at approx. 8:00am at the office of MNP LLP. MNP LLP will randomly select one (1) winner from among all eligible ticket numbers for each of the nine hundred and one (901) Cash Prizes to be awarded from December 10, 2021, to March 19, 2022.

DRAW CONTROL

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by MNP LLP. The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final.

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of MNP LLP. Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

All Cash Calendar Lottery draws will take place at approximately 8:00am at the offices of MNP LLP, 111 Richmond St West, Suite 300, Toronto, ON M5H 2G4.

PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION

All prize winners will be notified in writing within two (2) weeks of the day for which their winning ticket was selected. Winning results for the Daily Cash Prizes ($1,000 and $10,000), Friday Cash Prizes of $100,000, and New Year’s Day Cash Prize of $500,000 will be posted on the website at PrincessMargaretLotto.com every day from December 10, 2021, to March 19, 2022.

PRIZE CLAIM

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official Calendar ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prize winnings are not taxable.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months following the close of the lottery on March 19, 2022. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.
