HOME LOTTERY 2017 RULES & REGULATIONS

15,330 prizes will be awarded, valued at $13,038,867.74 (including all taxes and freight). Only 375,000 tickets will be sold.

Guidelines

Guidelines prohibit the following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Executive Team; partners and employees of Deloitte LLP and its affiliates; and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and mailed in the province of Ontario.

All inquiries, if any, regarding the “Chances of Winning” are to be made to the licensee prior to the purchase of ticket(s).

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. Winners consent to the use of their name and photograph by the licensee for publicity purposes.

Tickets

Tickets are $100 each or a 3-Pack for $250 or a 5-Pack for $375. Guidelines for purchasing a 3-Pack or 5-Pack are as follows:

  • Only ONE method of payment.
  • Only ONE mailing address.
  • Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing all ticket numbers.
  • Up to THREE names may be recorded on a ticket.

All tickets in a 3-Pack or 5-Pack must contain the same information.

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their tickets; however, participants do not need their tickets in hand in order to be included in the respective draws. No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

Draw Order

The first draw will be for the Loyalty Prize. Only tickets purchased by midnight, February 17, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws (10 prizes). The draws will take place on March 1, 2017, at approx. 9:00am. The next draw will be for the VIP Prize. Only tickets purchased by midnight, March 10, will qualify for the VIP Prize Draws (5 prizes). The draws will take place on March 21, 2017, at approx. 9:00am. The next draw will be for the Bonus Prize. Only tickets purchased by midnight, April 7, will qualify for the Bonus Prize Draw (1 prize). The draw will take place on April 20, 2017, at approx. 9:00am.

*In the event that all tickets are sold by the Early Bird Deadline of midnight, May 5, then draws will begin May 13, 2017, at approx. 9:00am. The first draw will be for the Early Bird Prize, followed by draws for all remaining prizes starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the Grand Prizes. The top valued prize draws will be made May 18, 2017, live on CP24 between 6:00am and 6:00pm at 97 Carmichael Crescent, King City, L7B 1B5.

**In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird Deadline, then only the Early Bird draw will be made on May 18, 2017, on CP24 Breakfast between 5:30am and 9:00am at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5. The remaining prize draws will then begin May 29 at approx. 9:00am starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the Grand Prizes. The top valued prize draws will be made on June 2, 2017, live on CP24 between 6:00am and 6:00pm at 97 Carmichael Crescent, King City, L7B 1B5.

After each draw, the winner is recorded and the ticket number is returned to the drum for the next draw. Tickets ordered before the Loyalty Prize deadline will be eligible for all 15,330 draws. Tickets ordered after the Loyalty Prize deadline but before the VIP Prize deadline will be eligible for 15,320 draws. Tickets ordered after the VIP Prize deadline but before the Bonus Prize deadline will be eligible for 15,315 draws. Tickets ordered after the Bonus Prize deadline but before the Early Bird deadline will be eligible for 15,314 draws. Tickets ordered after the Early Bird deadline will be eligible for the remaining 15,313 draws.

All draws, with the exception of those made on television, will be made at the offices of Deloitte LLP, 400 Applewood Crescent, Suite 500, Vaughan, ON L4K 0C3.

Draw Control

All prize draws are performed manually, as required by the licensing body.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by Deloitte LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO).

Each prize draw will select one (1) winner and that winning token is selected from the draw drum at random. In the instance where multiple tokens are inadvertently selected from the draw drum, and this is identified prior to the read in of the token number, Deloitte LLP will halt the draw immediately, tokens will be returned to the drum and the draw procedure will be performed to determine one (1) winner. In the event that multiple tokens are inadvertently pulled from the draw drum, and this is not identified prior to the identifying and reading of the token number, the token number read aloud, confirmed and recorded is deemed to be the first token pulled and therefore established as the valid winner.

A draw will only be deemed valid and complete upon final confirmation and recording by Deloitte LLP.

Prize Winner Notification

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prizes. A searchable list of all prize winners will be posted online at PrincessMargaretLotto.com. If all draws are completed on May 18, winners will be published on Thursday, May 25, 2017. If all draws are completed on June 2, winners will be published on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Prize Claim

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticket holder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticket holder to allocate the prize if necessary. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

†† Prize values stated are retail value as of date contracts were negotiated with suppliers and are independently verified by prize suppliers, as per AGCO rules.

Custom grand prize homes may include many custom upgrades, unique features and the full replacement value of all of these features including appliances and finishes, flooring, landscaping, etc. Real estate prize values are calculated based on contracted purchase price and include: land purchase price, value of home construction, materials, labour, permits, all taxes applicable including full HST, cost of site preparation, landscaping, carrying costs, furnishings, and decorating.

Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

Prize values include taxes and freight, where applicable.

The Loyalty Prize comprises: Ten (10) Apple Packs (iMac, iPad Pro, Apple Watch and Apple TV device) (value $4,630.98).

The VIP Prize comprises: Five (5) Vacations to Italy for 2 adults (value $10,000).

The Bonus Prize comprises: FABRIK, Suite #207, 435 Richmond St. W., Toronto, fully furnished (value $686,990); $50,000 Cash. Total Bonus Prize package value: $736,990.

The Early Bird Prize comprises: Lakefront cottage in The Kawarthas, awarded fully furnished (value $1,120,000); $50,000 Cash; 2017 Sea Ray 21 SPX Boat with trailer (value $81,062.42). Total Early Bird Prize package value: $1,251,062.42.

The $5.5 Million Grand Prize comprises: Showhome, 97 Carmichael Crescent, King City, fully furnished (value $4.3 million); Muskoka Cottage, located on Wood Lake, fully furnished (value $700,000); $500,000 Cash. Total Grand Prize package value: $5,500,000.

Winners of real estate prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the transfer of home title.

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticket holder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes that are not claimed shall be secured for a period of one year from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

50/50 ADD-ON® RULES

Prize

The 50/50 Add-On comprises one (1) prize. The winner will be awarded half the 50/50 jackpot. A guaranteed $1,000,000 minimum prize payout will be paid to the 50/50 Add-On winner.

Tickets

50/50 Add-On tickets must be ordered in conjunction with and at the same time as your Home Lottery ticket and will be assigned to the same ticket holder. 50/50 Add-On orders will not be accepted after your original Home Lottery ticket order date.

There will be no restriction on the number of 50/50 Add-On tickets offered for sale.

50/50 Add-On tickets are 1 for $10, 5-Pack for $25 or 15-Pack for $50.

All tickets in a 5-Pack or 15-Pack must contain the same information.

All 50/50 Add-On tickets must correspond to the primary ticket holder’s name in the Princess Margaret Home Lottery database. 50/50 ticket(s) will not be assigned to an alternate name(s).

50/50 Add-On ticket numbers ordered will be issued in sequential order and will be listed on your Home Lottery Official Ticket receipt and will begin at 5 000 001.

If a ticket order for the Home Lottery is cancelled, any and all 50/50 Add-On tickets ordered with that ticket will also be cancelled.

Prizes

There are 100 cash prizes (“prizes”) to be awarded: eighty-five (85) Cash Prizes of $10,000 and fifteen (15) Cash Prizes of $20,000, with a total prize value of $1,150,000.

Prices are: 1 (one) for $25, 3-Pack Calendar numbers for $50, or a 6-Pack Calendar numbers for $75. For each order placed, one Calendar ticket will be issued. The Calendar will list one, three or six Calendar ticket numbers.

Guidelines for purchasing are as follows:
