Eligibility

The following individuals, all of their immediate family members and anyone residing in the same household are prohibited from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Executive Team; partners and employees of Deloitte LLP and its affiliates; and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and mailed in the province of Ontario.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow us, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and its licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery license and/or that we consider appropriate for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without notice, review or approval or additional compensation to you.

Tickets

Tickets are $100 each or a 3-Pack* for $250 or a 5-Pack for $375. *Guidelines for purchasing a 3-Pack or 5-Pack are as follows:

  • Only ONE method of payment.
  • Only ONE mailing address.
  • Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing all ticket numbers.
  • Up to THREE names may be recorded on a ticket.

*All tickets in a pack must contain the same information.

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket/s; however, participants do not need their ticket/s in hand in order to be included in the respective draw/s. No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

Draw Order

The first draw will be for the Loyalty Prize. Only tickets ordered by Midnight, February 16, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws. The draws (10 prizes) will take place on March 1, 2018 at approx. 8:00am. The next draw will be for the VIP Prizes. Only tickets ordered by Midnight, March 9, will qualify for the VIP Prize Draws. The draws (5 prizes) will take place on March 20, 2018 at approx. 8:00am. The next draw will be for the Bonus Prize. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, April 6 will qualify for the Bonus Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on April 19, 2018 at approx. 8:00am.

* In the event that all tickets are sold by the Early Bird Deadline of Midnight, May 4 then draws for all remaining prizes (with the exception of the top five (5) valued prizes) will be made on May 15 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of Deloitte. The first draw would be for the Early Bird Prize, followed by draws for all remaining prizes starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the top valued prize.

The top five (5) valued prize draws would be made live on CP24 on May 17, 2018 between 6:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome located at 103 Carmichael Crescent, King City.

** In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird Deadline, then only the Early Bird draw will take place on May 15 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of Deloitte and the winner will be announced on CP24 Breakfast on May 17 between 5:30am and 9:00am at 299 Queen Street W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5. Marketing will continue to the Final Ticket Sales Deadline of Midnight, May 18.

The remaining prize draws will then begin May 30 at approx. 8:00am at the offices of Deloitte starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the top valued prize. The top five (5) valued prize draws would be made live on CP24 on June 1, 2018 between 6:00am and 6:00pm at the Grand Prize Showhome located at 103 Carmichael Crescent, King City.

Tickets ordered before the Loyalty Prize deadline will be eligible for all 16,350 draws. Tickets ordered after the Loyalty prize deadline but before the VIP Prize deadline will be eligible for 16,340 draws. Tickets ordered after the VIP Prize deadline but before the Bonus Prize deadline will be eligible for 16,335 draws. Tickets ordered after the Bonus Prize deadline but before the Early Bird deadline will be eligible for 16,334 draws. Tickets ordered after the Early Bird deadline will be eligible for the remaining 16,333 draws.

Draw Control

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by Deloitte LLP.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of Deloitte LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO).

All draws, with the exception of those made on television, will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG) under the supervision of Deloitte LLP. Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

The top five (5) valued Home Lottery prize draws will be made by hand, using numbered printed tokens in a draw drum receptacle and broadcast live on CP24 on the applicable draw date.

The numbered tokens correspond to each ticket holder represented in the ticket holder database. This is in lieu of a ticket stub and serves the same purpose.

Each prize draw will select one (1) winner and that winning token is selected from the draw drum at random. Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent draws.

In the instance where multiple tokens are inadvertently selected from the draw drum, and this is identified prior to the read in of the token number, Deloitte LLP will halt the draw immediately, tokens will be returned to the drum and the draw procedure will be performed to determine one (1) winner.

In the event that multiple tokens are inadvertently pulled from the draw drum, and this is not identified prior to the identifying and reading of the token number, the token number read aloud, confirmed and recorded is deemed to be the first token pulled and therefore established as the valid winner.

All draws, with the exception of those to be made on television will take place between approx. 8:00 am and 5:00 pm at the offices of Deloitte LLP, Bay Adelaide East, 8 Adelaide Street West. Suite 200. Toronto ON M5H 0A9.

The records of Deloitte LLP shall be deemed correct and final.

Prize Winner Notification

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and where to claim their prizes. A searchable list of all prize winners will be posted online at PrincessMargaretLotto.com. If all draws are completed on May 17, 2018 winners will be published on Thursday, May 24. If all draws are completed on June 1, 2018, winners will be published on Thursday, June 7. Prize Claim

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

+++ Prize values stated are retail value as of date contracts were negotiated with suppliers and are independently verified by prize suppliers, as per AGCO rules.

Custom grand prize homes may include many custom upgrades, unique features and the full retail replacement value of all of these features including appliances and finishes, flooring, landscaping etc. Real estate retail prize values are calculated based on contracted purchase price and include: land purchase price, Value of home construction, materials, labor, permits, all taxes applicable including full HST, cost of site preparation, landscaping, carrying costs, furnishings, decorating, landscaping.

Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

Prize values include taxes and freight, where applicable.

The VIP Prize comprises: Five (5) Vacations to the Greek Isles for 2 adults (value $10,265).

The Bonus Prize comprises: Bisha Hotel & Residences, Unit 3607 - 88 Blue Jays Way Toronto, fully furnished (value $673,900); $25,000 Cash. Total Bonus Prize package value: $713,900.

The Early Bird Prize comprises: Lakefront cottage in The Kawarthas awarded fully furnished (value $1,280,000); $50,000 Cash. Total Early Bird Prize package value: $1,330,000.

The $6 Million Grand Prize comprises: Showhome, 103 Carmichael Crescent, King City, fully furnished (value $4.47 million); Muskoka Lakefront Cottage, fully furnished (value $1,030,000); $500,000 Cash. Total Grand Prize package value: $6,000,900.

*Seasonal Occupancy Restrictions apply to the Friday Harbour Resort Condominium Prize. The Unit may not be occupied for more than 185 days consecutively in each calendar year with a minimum unoccupied period of either 65 days or two periods of 35 consecutive days and a maximum aggregate occupancy of 300 days per calendar year.

Winners of home prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the home being transferred.

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticketholder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported, and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Home Lottery Spring 2018 offers an exciting Add-On option for its supporters.

There will be no restriction on the number of 50/50 Add-On tickets offered for sale.

50/50 Add-On tickets are 1 for $10, 5-pack for $25 or 15-pack for $50. All tickets in a 5-pack or 15-pack must contain the same information.

All 50/50 Add-On tickets must correspond to the primary ticketholder’s name in the Princess Margaret Home Lottery database. 50/50 ticket(s) will not be assigned to an alternate name(s).

50/50 Add-On ticket numbers ordered will be issued in sequential order and will be listed on your Home Lottery Official Ticket receipt and will begin at 5 000 001.

If a ticket order for the Home Lottery is cancelled, all 50/50 Add-On tickets ordered with that ticket will also be cancelled.

The Calendar will list one, three or six Calendar ticket numbers.

Deloitte will randomly select one (1) potential winner from among all eligible ticket numbers for each of the one hundred (100) days of prizes from June 14, 2018 to September 21, 2018. All winners will be notified in writing within 2 weeks of the day for which their winning ticket was selected.
