The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Home Lottery 2014 Rules & Regulations

18,104 prizes will be awarded, valued at $12,370,143.18 (including all taxes and freight). Only 350,000 tickets will be sold.

Contest Guidelines

Contest guidelines prohibit the following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household from ordering a ticket: Board members and employees of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Members of the UHN Board of Trustees and Executive Team, PMCC Executive Team; partners and employees of Deloitte LLP and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and mailed in the province of Ontario.

All inquiries, if any, regarding the “Chances of Winning” are to be made to the licensee prior to the purchase of ticket(s).

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. Winners consent to the use of their name and photograph by the licensee for publicity purposes.

Tickets are $100 each or a 3-Pack* for $250 or a 5-Pack for $375. *Guidelines for purchasing a 3-Pack or 5-Pack are as follows:

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket(s) in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s). No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

Draw Order

The first draw will be for the VIP Prizes. Only tickets ordered by Midnight, February 28, will qualify for the VIP Prize draws. The draws (10 prizes) will take place on March 12, 2014 at 10:00am at the offices of Deloitte LLP. The next draw will be for the Bonus Prizes. Only tickets ordered by Midnight March 28 will qualify for the Bonus draws. The draws (100 Prizes) will take place on April 9, 2014 at 10:00am at the offices of Deloitte LLP.

* In the event that all tickets are sold by the Early Bird deadline of Midnight, April 17 then all draws would begin on May 2 at 9:00am. The first draw would be for the Early Bird Prize. This would be followed by draws for all remaining prizes starting with the lowest valued prize to the top valued prizes. The top prize draws would be made May 6, 2014 live on CP24 between 6:00am and 6:00pm at 92 Stallions Court, Vaughan L6A 4V5.

** In the event tickets remain after the Early Bird deadline, then only the Early Bird draw would be made on May 6, 2014 on CP24 Breakfast between 5:30am and 9:00am at 299 Queen Street. W. Toronto, M5V 2Z5. The final deadline for ticket sales is Midnight, May 2. The remaining draws would then begin on May 13 at 9:00am starting with the lowest valued prize and concluding with the top valued prizes. The top prize draws would be made on May 21, 2014 live on CP24 between 6:00am and 6:00pm at 92 Stallions Court, Vaughan L6A 4V5.

After each draw, the winner is recorded and the ticket number is returned to the drum for the next draw. Tickets ordered before the VIP Prize ticket sales deadline will be eligible for all 18,104 draws. Tickets ordered after the VIP Prize deadline but before the Bonus Prize ticket sales deadline will be eligible for the remaining 18,094 draws. Tickets ordered after the Bonus Prize deadline but before the Early Bird ticket sales deadline will be eligible for 17,994 draws. Tickets ordered after the Early Bird deadline will be eligible for the remaining 17,993 draws.

All draws, with the exception of those made on television, will be made at the offices of Deloitte LLP, 5140 Yonge St., Suite 1700, North York, M2N 6L7.

Draw Control

Ticket issuance and draw control by: Deloitte LLP.

All prize draws are performed manually, as required by the licensing body.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of Deloitte LLP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO).

Each prize draw will select one (1) winner and that winning token is selected from the draw drum at random.

In the instance where multiple tokens are inadvertently selected from the draw drum, and this is identified prior to the reading of the token number, Deloitte LLP will halt the draw immediately, tokens will be returned to the drum and the draw procedure will be performed to determine one (1) winner.

In the event that multiple tokens are inadvertently pulled from the draw drum, and this is not identified prior to the identifying and reading of the token number, the token number read aloud, confirmed and recorded is deemed to be the first token pulled and therefore established as the valid winner.

A draw will only be deemed valid and complete upon final confirmation and recording by Deloitte LLP.

Prize Winner Notification

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and where to claim their prizes. Major prize winners will be published in the Toronto Star and a searchable list of all prize winners will be posted online at PrincessMargaretLotto.com. If all draws are completed on May 6, 2014, winners will be published on Thursday, May 15. If all draws are completed on May 21, 2014, winners will be published on Thursday, May 29. Prize Claim

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

†† Prize values stated are retail value as of date contracts were negotiated with suppliers and are independently verified by prize suppliers, as per AGCO rules.

Custom grand prize homes may include many custom upgrades, unique features and the full retail replacement value of all of these features including appliances and finishes, flooring, landscaping etc. Real estate retail prize values are calculated based on contracted purchase price and include: land purchase price, Value of home construction, materials, labor, permits, all taxes applicable including full HST, cost of site preparation, landscaping, carrying costs, furnishings, decorating, landscaping.

Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner OR charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

Prize values include taxes and freight, where applicable.

The VIP Prize comprises: 10 Vacations to Bermuda for 2 valued at $7,674 each.

The Bonus Prize is 100 Cash prizes of $1,000.

The Muskoka Bay Club Lifetime Single Golf Membership prize may be transferred if the winner sells the Muskoka Bay Club prize home. There is no cash alternative.

Winners of home prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the home being transferred.

Vacation prizes will be awarded as cheques payable to the primary ticketholder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase.

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of one year from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

Tickets

50/50 Add-On tickets must be ordered in conjunction with and at the same time as your Home Lottery your ticket and will be assigned to the same ticketholder. 50/50 Add-On orders will not be accepted after your original Home Lottery ticket order date.

There will be no restriction on the number of 50/50 Add-On tickets offered for sale.

50/50 Add-On tickets are 1 for $10, 5-pack for $25 or 15-pack for $50. All tickets in a 5-pack or 15-pack must contain the same information.

All 50/50 Add-On tickets must correspond to the primary ticketholder's name in the Princess Margaret Home Lottery. 50/50 ticket(s) will not be assigned to an alternate name(s).

50/50 Add-On ticket numbers ordered will be issued in sequential order and will be listed on your Home Lottery Official Ticket receipt and will begin at 5,000,001.

If a ticket order for the Home Lottery is cancelled, any and all 50/50 Add-On tickets ordered with that ticket will
also be cancelled.

Prize

The 50/50 Add-On comprises one (1) prize. The winner will be awarded half the 50/50 jackpot. A guaranteed $500,000 minimum prize payout will be paid to the 50/50 Add-On winner.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered and mailed in the province of Ontario.

Tickets

A maximum of 1,250,000 Calendar ticket numbers will be sold. Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order. Prices are 5-pack* Calendar numbers for $20, or a 15-pack* Calendar numbers for $50. For each order placed, one Calendar will be issued. The Calendar will list five or fifteen Calendar ticket numbers.

After each draw, the winner is recorded and the ticket number is returned to the drum and is eligible for all subsequent draws. Draws will occur based on the June 2014 calendar. On days where more than one draw takes place, the prizes will be drawn from lowest to highest in value.

The draws for the Daily Cash Prize of $20,000 will take place each day June 1 – June 30, 2014. Weekend Daily Cash Prize draws will be made on the preceding Friday, except for the Daily Cash prize draws for June 1 which will be made on Sunday, June 1.

The draws for the Weekly Friday Cash Prize of $100,000 will take place on Friday, June 6, June 13, June 20 and June 27.
